Dr. Chin-Sheng Chen

Dr. Chin-Sheng Chen is a professor and the Director of the Enterprise and Logistics Engineering Programs in the College of Engineering and Computing at Florida International Florida University (FIU) in Miami, Florida. Dr. Chen received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1985 and joined the Engineering faculty at FIU in 1989. He was promoted to full professor in 1995 and had since served as the Graduate Programs Director of the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department until 2010.

Dr. Chen has actively engaged in teaching and research in the areas of engineering project management, enterprise engineering, production and operations management, factory and office automation, business process modeling and improvement, and applied operations research. In the past two decades, Dr. Chen has been also actively engaged in enterprise systems modeling, analysis, design, implementation, and deployment in the engineering tooling industry.

Dr. Chen teaches a diversity of graduate courses for the Engineering Management and Logistics Engineering Programs in the College of Engineering and Computing at FIU, including engineering project management, product development, manufacturing process engineering, production systems design, production planning and control, enterprise engineering, logistics engineering, and enterprise systems technology.
