This will depend entirely in your career goal, to make this decision we encourage you to do a list setting up your priorities and the career goals that you would like to achieve, and based on that information you would be able to choose the track elective that better accommodate your needs. Can I pursue my degree in Engineering Management under a general track elective?

Yes, students are free to choose both their concentration path as well as the classes involved in it.

Can I pursue a degree in Engineering Management while having an Administrative UG degree?

Yes, our program is designed to add technical value to both administrative and engineering careers directing the student’s path towards a management placement end goal. Engineering Management studies can give students many advantages in order to efficiently develop problem solving skills, great leadership skills, and the ability to respond successfully to challenges of managing technical projects to only mention a few.

What are the advantages of obtaining a degree in Engineering Management?

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, business, financial, and management jobs have some of the highest wage premiums for workers with a master’s degree. MS in Engineering Management can prepare you for the next phase of your career and that big promotion. This program allows students to engage in academic study and the gain applicable, real-world experience through classroom assignments and interaction with fellow students. They also learn ways to become effective leaders, manage human resources, and to make important decisions.

Do the ELE department has any partnership with any local government or private institutions in order to secure internships or job opportunities under these fields.?

Currently, we do not have any specific partnerships with local institutions. However, we do maintain close communication with great industries that keep in contact with the department on any opportunities that may arise for our students, these opportunities are posted on our webpage following this link.

What is Logistics Engineering?

Logistics Engineering is an emerging engineering field dedicated to an optimal design and operations of a logistics system that involves the forecast, procurement, transport, production, storage, distribution, and warehousing of materials and finished goods. 

What is the difference between the MSLE program and the M.S. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management program with the College of Business?

The MSLE program is catered to Engineering students who are looking to expand their professional career within an Engineering role, this program prepares students to excel in those technical roles that go behind the curtains sort of speaking whilst the Logistics & Supply Chain Management from the Business schools oversees the financial aspects of the supply chain environment.

What career opportunities does someone with an MSLE degree have?

MSLE students have many professional opportunities with this program, some of those are within Logistics operations, Import and Export operations, Inventory Management, Demand Planning and Management, Distribution operations, SAP application Engineers, and Warehousing Management.

What software programs are integrated into the coursework?

The main software that this program takes advantage of are SAP Enterprise Resource Planning, SAP – SCM advance planning and optimization, and Magaya – Logistics Management Software.

Are any certifications offered within the program?

We do offer two types of certifications based on course completion. Those certifications are Graduate Certificate in Engineering Management (GCEM) and Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Systems (GCES).
