Job Description

The Industrial Engineering Project Intern is responsible for developing alternate network flows for our Freight Forwarding operations using our existing network with the focus of improving service without increasing cost.

The main responsibility for this position will be to manage a project geared towards improvement of the existing network flows for Freight Forwarding volume. The key responsibilities will be to analyze network lanes which have repeated capacity issues & explore options on moving this volume using additional options within our existing network.

This position will be responsible for creating & delivering presentations to the upper management regarding their recommendations.

Candidate is expected to have advanced excel & analytical skills as they will be working with large amounts of data. This position will be occasionally require work on weekends due to the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

• Quickly analyze & manipulate large amount of data.
• Industrial Engineering or Logistics experience or education or similar discipline required.
• Advanced working knowledge on Microsoft Access, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Strong problem solving skills is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Six Sigma, Visio or AutoCAD knowledge is preferred. Planning & organizational skills highly beneficial.
• Good attendance is needed in his position.

The main responsibility for this position will be to manage a project geared towards automation or improvement of existing brokerage reports. The key responsibilites will be to analyze available information & offer solutions for streamlining existing processes.

This position will also be responsible for creating & delivering presentations to upper management regarding their recommendations.

Candidate is expected to have advanced programming, excel & analytical skills as they will be working with large amounts of data. This position will be occasionally require work on weekends due to the needs of the business.

Job Description

The Industrial Engineering Project Intern is responsible for developing improved methods and processes for the Air Cargo operation geared towards optimizing productivity and service. He/She gathers and interprets data, develops forecasts, and proposes operational changes.

The main responsibility for this position will be to manage a project geared towards the improvement of various processes within the Air Cargo operation. The key responsibilities will be to visit operations, document information on processes, and then analyze large amounts of data to come up with alternate solutions to current job processes.

The candidate will work closely with the Region IE team in order to complete this task.

This position will also be responsible for creating & delivering presentations to upper management regarding their recommendations.

Candidate is expected to have advanced excel & analytical skills as they will be working with large amounts of data. This position will be occasionally require work on weekends due to the needs of the business.
